Summary:
The Director of Human Resources is a strong generalist who is responsible for the development and administration of a comprehensive human resources operational program that includes but is not limited to recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee training, staff professional development, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and employee relations.
This position recommends, plans, and carries out policies relating to all phases of human resources activity.
Essential Functions:
Manages, coordinates, and monitors the college's recruitment process using diverse, equitable, and inclusive tools to assist in removing bias throughout the application process.
Coordinates with new employees that require work sponsorship (F1, H1-B, etc.
).
Negotiates, manages, and coordinates annual employee benefit review and implementation process.
Completes employee benefit contracts with the Independent Colleges of Indiana Benefit Consortium and TIAA-CREF and responsible for the management of the employee benefits and retirement committees.
Responsible for benefit education for new hires and current employees.
Responsible for managing human resources administrative processes including but not limited to:
FMLA and medical leaves, discipline, and employee appraisal process.
Responsible for updating human resources and payroll policies and procedures to align with current laws and regulations.
Prepares federal and state reports and forms utilizing applicable human resources data.
Manages the preparation and coordination of benefit and retirement audits and salary compensation surveys.
Participates in college strategic planning, goal setting, and assessments.
Prepares budget of human resources operations.
Development and coordination of employee training programs.
Participates on cross-functional committees made up of faculty and staff.
Collaborates with Title IX Coordinator to create training programs for students, employees, and investigative hearing boards.
Investigates and coordinates the hearing board process for cases involving employees, employees-students, and/or vendors.
Collaborates with the president's office to help develop and facilitate employee wellbeing and engagement plans.
Job
Qualifications:
Education required:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience required:
Strong human resources generalist experience with successful progression and work experience in the human resources area.
Experience with payroll and benefit software.
Strong Excel and data management skills.
Certifications:
SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
